The Accounting Clerk program is for students who are interested in a career in Accounting. This program will give you the tools to get and succeed in an entry level job in the field. When you enroll in our program full-time, you can finish in as little as 3 quarters.

What is the Pell Grant
ABC Adult School offers our qualified students the Pell Grant. Students are required to enroll into one of our approved career pathways, and maintain their enrollment in our school to receive the funds. Since the Pell Grant is a grant, it does not need to be paid back (as long as you are enrolled into and complete the program). ABC Adult School’s Office of Financial Aid has updated their office hours. We are currently available to assist students:

What do I need to be enrolled in to be eligible for financial aid?
ABC Adult School has two sets of students who take our Career Technical Education classes.
The first set of students are students who already have a job, and they are just looking for additional skills to assist with their current position. These students are not interested in obtaining a Career Technical Diploma and starting a new career in the area they received their diploma. These students are considered enrichment based learners, and they will not be eligible to receive financial aid.
The second set of students are the students who come to us looking to start a new career. They are interested in taking all the classes and certifications needed to start this new career. These students also have to declare their program and commit to following the schedule of the program they have chosen. These students are considered Career Pathway students, and they are eligible to received financial aid if the qualify for the Pell Grant.
ABC Adult School offers a wide array of career programs for our students to choose from and as of today, eight of our nine programs are eligible to offer financial aid. The eight programs are: Accounting Clerk, Administrative Assistant, Cosmetology, Graphic Media Design, Medical Front Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and IT Technician. Our ninth career program, which we are unable at this time to provide financial aid for, is Dental Assistant.
In order to be eligible for financial aid, students are not only required to enroll in one of our approved programs, but they are required to be enrolled full-time in classes. Majority of the classes will be Monday-Friday 8 am - 2:40 pm with the exception of Pharmacy Technician and Cosmetology.
